My basics summer wardrobe

Lets talk basics.  I’m a simple girl with simple needs, although my hubby may say otherwise, lol.  Summer really is the perfect season for me.  No layering required, just grab a tee, shorts and slip some sandals on while you run out the door.  Not to say that I don’t spruce up an outfit with some jewelry or a fun pop here or there but realistically I stick to the basics.  Sharing some of my summer must haves that you can build off of with a quick, fun post.

Distressed jeans are a must for me.  I basically wear them year round and they’re perfect for summer nights.  My current favorites are these high-waisted pair.  They’re at an amazing price point and the quality is just so good.

I live for a good stripe top and summer is when I try to add in more color than I typically do.  This slightly cropped version pairs perfectly with denim or even under a pair of fun overalls.  I also love the cut of this stripe tank, it’s so flattering on all body types.  My absolute favorite recent purchase has been this adorable flowy tank which is perfect for those hot summer days.  Seriously, I want all the colors!!

I’m a sucker for anything high-waisted.  The white pair pictured above are a bit of a splurge but boy are they worth it.  This denim is a true white, and provides the perfect amount of coverage.  A fun pair I got this year are at a more affordable price point and come in a variety of colors.  These denim have such a fun distressed style and definitely cover the booty.  Last, are a pair of shorts I didn’t know I needed until I tried them on.  These black pair are the perfect fit, hitting right at the belly button and go with just about everything.

Completing any outfit is an easy and comfortable pair of shoes.  My most won’t summer shoe is of course my Birkenstocks.  They’re so easy and I could wear them all day long.  Up next are my chucks, once again convenience is key.  Another summer must is a good pair of heeled sandals.  These are so amazing.  I found the most perfect and comfortable pair, they pair perfectly with denim but also with a flowy summer dress.

Last but not least, these are the worlds BEST tanks!!!  Grab them in all the colors!!!!  Basic and classic, nothing can beat it.

So these are the pieces that I will have on repeat all summer long.  Of course I’ll add to but I always feel like my truest self in a simple yet put together look.
