First Trunk Club try-on for 2019 and it included some really amazing transitional pieces for Spring which is exciting.
If you aren’t familiar with what Trunk Club is here’s a quick synopsis. Basically it’s a styling service. There’s a small fee, however that fee is waived if you are a Nordstrom card holder, if not the cost will go towards your purchase if you choose to keep anything included in your box. I love that I can try-on clothes in the comfort of my own home and send back anything that doesn’t work or fit in my closet. My biggest tip is to communicate with your stylist as much as possible. And don’t be afraid to request a stylist change if you’re not meshing well.
Now that you’ve got the gist of it let’s get into the fun stuff….trying things on!
FIRST LOOK:
Lavender Sweater– this sweater was the perfect color. It’s a faux wrap and so comfortable, aka no itchiness what so ever! I was sent an xsmall and believe it fits true to size.
White Denim– size down!! I was sent a 26 which is my typical size and they were HUGE. These denim def have a stretch so size down a minimum of 1 for the right fit. I do love the distressing and you can’t beat the price.
SECOND LOOK:
Jumpsuit– this jumpsuit is perfect for any event this Spring/Summer. It comes in 2 other colors and fits true to size. I’m wearing a size 2 and liked the fit.
Sandals– these feel so comfortable. Not sure how often I would necessarily reach for them but that’s the fun part of Trunk Club. I’m wearing a 7 and they fit amazing.
THIRD LOOK:
Ivory Sweater– I love this sweater!! It has the cutest fringe detailing that’s so subtle but so cute!! I’m wearing a size small and love the fit!
Jeans– ummmmm, personal these are a no. Not only are they a mid rise but I was sent a size 25 so I pretty much felt like a sausage. Even finding the link for these I’m reading the reviews and everybody says to size up and I’d agree, nobody likes a muffin top.
Mules– I own these in a tan color and wear them constantly! They’re comfortable and fit true to size. They also come in a variety of color options to choose from.
FOURTH LOOK:
Stripe Tee– these are my favorite tees and have so many different cuts. I wear sizes ranging between an xsmall to a medium in these depending on how I want them to fit. This is a size small and fit just loose enough for a knotted look.
Cardigan– YAS!!!! Love this cardi so much! Definitely can’t beat the price either. This is a size xsmall and it fits perfectly oversized.
FIFTH LOOK:
Wrap Dress– I so wanted this to work and it might if I size up to a medium. Such a sweet dress to pair with flats and a denim jacket or heels for a date night.
ACCESSORIES:
Rose Studs– these are so precious. I really love the color and the simplicity of them.
